Library and museum

A window to the future

The McCain Library and Museum is envisioned as a window onto the future, one drawing on the best of our past as a guide. Inspired by the extraordinary life and legacy of Senator John McCain, the library and museum programming will cultivate a next generation of leaders prepared to boldly address the most pressing issues of our time.

Serving our need to regularly be reminded of our common values, aspirations, and history, the McCain Library and Museum will encourage all Americans to realize a more just, sustainable and inclusive country. As such, the U.S. will continue to be a beacon for the world.

The library and museum will embody the principles that guided John McCain throughout his career. These values will be present through the project and inspire future generations of leaders, learners and scholars:

At ASU, our charter drives all we do

ASU is a comprehensive public research university, measured not by whom it excludes, but by whom it includes and how they succeed; advancing research and discovery of public value; and assuming fundamental responsibility for the economic, social, cultural and overall health of the communities it serves.

Nothing in life is more liberating than to fight for a cause larger than yourself, something that encompasses you but is not defined by your existence alone.
